Chosing mains-fed water
Mains-fed drinking water is more environmentally sustainable than bottled water, as the units remove the need to buy, store and dispose of large quantities of plastic bottles and eliminate the continuous deliveries and road miles (and so carbon emissions and fuel consumption) required with bottled water. Green manufacturing
Wherever possible, when manufacturing our water coolers, we use components that are as least damaging to the environment as possible. We also repair and refurbish all returned PHS Waterlogic equipment. The majority of materials used in the construction of the dispensers are recyclable; so all plastics are removed, melted down and made into pellets to be recycled. All metalwork such as the water tank, compressor and the framework of the unit is recycled, as is the carbon of the carbon filters. All cardboard product packaging used for shipping is 100% recyclable, and the plastic bags, which wrap the units, are reusable and or/recyclable.
Save-a-cup
We are long-standing supporters of the ‘Save-a-Cup’ collection and recycling scheme, and encourage all our customers to join the scheme by enabling them to do so free of charge. The scheme collects & recycles cups from customer’s sites, which are then reprocessed into pens, pencils, rulers, cup trays, bins and more. Click here to visit the Save-a-cup website
